Property records, county by county

In the United States each county keeps its own records: the assessor (owner, assessed value, property details), the recorder or clerk (deeds, mortgages, liens) and the treasurer (property taxes). Most are searchable online for free. Pick a state for its counties' official sites, listed by NETR Online.

The directory is NETR Online's (publicrecords.netronline.com); the records are each county's. OpenVibe.Homes copies none of them.
